MEANING IN THE WEAVE
In Laos weaving, stripe motifs are symbols for RAINBOWS and are commonly found in waistbands and the hems of tube skirts worn by women and shamans.
WEAVER’S NOTES
This batch was woven by Ms. Khamsone and Ms. Sengamphone of the Taileu Tribe with handspun and naturally dyed cotton yarns grown in the Houaphan Province of Laos. Variations in the weave are part of the handmade vibe.
